For large waypoint collections, the density of points may render the view a bit of a mess, but it should give you a rough idea of the area covered, and confirms that there are no distant outliers.

a contol point, from different
elevations and perspectives, but requires a fairly hefty PC and good internet
connectivity. Try turning on the following "layers" in the menu on the lower left-hand side of the display:
place populated places, airports/transportation, and roads.
